Technology Upgrade Gives Law Firm Productivity Boost
Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. is a full-service corporate law firm with over 150 attorneys in New Jersey and New York. Their clients range from Fortune 500 to emerging growth corporations and are diversified across a wide range of industries. The firm’s desktop environment was becoming outdated and less efficient – client interactions were not as smooth as they could be, document management and sharing often required file and attachment conversions, and the technology was not optimized for mobile devices. Sills Cummis turned to EIM International, their technology consulting partner of almost a decade, to help implement a significant desktop environment upgrade.
The Solution
Sills Cummis upgraded its content management system with improved email filing, support for mobile devices, and the addition of process enhancing tools such as pdfDocs to streamline workflow. The firm simultaneously conducted an upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Office and moved their entire computing environment to Citrix XenDesktop. EIM helped ensure that Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and XenDesktop were all integrated with the firm’s various legal software applications into a virtual environment where information could interact and be easily and securely accessed from anywhere.
The Benefits
The multi-faceted upgrade gives Sills Cummis the advantages of the latest technologies. Information sharing and content management – across desktops and from mobile devices – improves the company’s efficiency. The new environment provides a higher performance experience, regardless of location, and allows updates and new applications to be pushed more easily to users. As a result, the attorneys and staff have increased their productivity and responsiveness to clients. Now they can spend more time on business critical functions and less time converting, managing, and locating documents.
“EIM helped us renew our content management environment and significantly increase productivity with a more efficient system for document management and information sharing.”
